Kim is the owner and manager of Distinktion Tattoo Studio, overseeing the day-to-day running of the studio and the experience we create for every client who walks through the door.
As someone with extensive personal experience of being tattooed — including a full body suit — Kim has experienced the industry from the client's side of the chair. That perspective has played a huge part in shaping Distinktion, from the atmosphere of the studio to the importance placed on comfort, communication and trust.
You'll usually find Kim at the front of house, managing bookings, supporting the team, speaking with clients and working behind the scenes on everything that keeps the studio moving.
While she isn't a tattoo artist herself, Kim's passion lies in creating the environment around the art — a professional, welcoming studio where both clients and artists feel comfortable, respected and supported.
KIM'S VISION
Distinktion began with a simple idea: to create the kind of tattoo studio Kim would want to walk into as a client.
Having spent years being tattooed in different studios, she had seen first-hand how much the environment surrounding the tattoo can shape the experience. Great artwork mattered, but so did feeling welcomed, listened to and comfortable from the moment you walked through the door.
When Distinktion opened in Rugby in late 2024, Kim took a hands-on approach to bringing that vision to life, from transforming the premises and shaping the studio’s identity to building a team of artists with different styles and experience.
That vision continues to evolve as the studio grows, but the principle remains the same: create great work, look after people, and build a studio that both clients and artists genuinely want to be part of.
